Postcards from god
"Postcards from god" was a collaboration between the Daksha Sheth Dance Company and the poet Imtiaz Dharker, which set out to create a multi-media stage production inspired by and based on the collection of Imtiaz's poems published as Postcards from god. The poems deal with life in the slums of India, with the fragility and the resilience of those who live in the cracks of society, and what happens when communal violence burns down the thin walls that shelter their lives. Bringing together dancers, musicians and actors with video projections, the show was a powerful cry for communal harmony.
